Mrs. Treesie G Reed was born in Monrovia, Liberia. She came to the United States when she was a child. Mrs. Reed comes from a large family. She has four brothers and four sisters. She is married with five children. Two biological children (son & daughter), a stepdaughter, and raising her niece and nephew. She attended school in Trenton, NJ including Robbins Elementary School, and Washington Elementary School. Mrs. Reed attended Trenton Central High School where she eventually graduated in 2001. After graduating from Mercer County Community College with an Associates Degree in Arts, Mrs. Reed continued her education at The College of New Jersey, graduating in 2007 with a B.A. Degree in English. Then went on to obtain her master’s degree in business (MBA) with a concentration in Healthcare from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Next, she received her TCC- Early Childhood and Education Basics Certification from Gwinnett Technical College in 2017.
While a student at Mercer County Community College, Mrs. Reed proved to be an outstanding leader. She was the president of the Education Opportunity Fund (EOF) club, as well as being employed as a Student Mentor. As a mentor, she inspired and motivated mentees, as well as help them build self-confidence while adjusting to college life. Other leadership positions included vice-president of the African American Student Organization. Mrs. Reed has received numerous awards in recognition of her leadership ability and her academic success. She received the College Students’ Recognition Award in 2003 from the Central Jersey Network of Black Women, of which she is a member. She also received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly in 2004. And in 2020 became a member of the Honors Society at Gwinnett Technical College. She started her non-profit organization- Tree of Life Foundation Inc in 2018. The foundation seeks to help children worldwide. She has adopted a few villages in Africa where she clothes and feeds the children. Education is essential to Mrs. Reed. Her goal is to build schools and medical centers for the children. Due to a lack of transportation, children are unable to attend school. Therefore, children revert to farm life with their parents. Mrs. Reed's love for children has led her to her success in the education field. She has helped many children throughout her lifetime. Her friends & family call her "Mother of all Nation" Mrs. Reed stated, “As a Team, We Win as an Individual We Lose” She has many plans for the future.
